Question: What to do when DTLA’s Pantry has a 2 hour wait and the streets & freeway exits leading to the Bank District, Arts District and Chinatown were blocked off to accommodate the Amgen Tour (biking event)?
Answer: Let’s have breakfast at Grand Central Market, Downtown’s awesome dining destination, where everyone can find something fun to eat.
I was too hungry to take pics of my husband’s delicious Eggslut “Brioche Bun” and my yummy “Breakfast Bahn Mi” from Valerie Bake Shop/Cafe, but I was able to take a picture of the kids’ “well-worth-the-price” hot chocolate.
Our visit to the neighboring Bradbury Building really made the chaotic Downtown visit worthwhile. I mean, look at this breathtaking Victorian-era center courtyard, the wrought-iron stairs and the birdcage elevators (not shown). Simply breathtaking.
