Malibu Bluffs Park is a community recreation area on the coast of Malibu, off PCH and Malibu Canyon Road. There are numerous sports fields for soccer and baseball, two playground areas for young children and a whale watching station for visitors to use. The best way to enjoy the grounds, however, is to partake in a family hike with little kids.
Kids as young as two can handle the terrain of the hiking trails, which eventually lead you either to the residential community below the bluffs or back to the south side of the recreation area. We often come here in the hopes to catch a school of dolphins swimming by.
To convince the kiddies to return to the trail at the end of the visit, I enticed them with an opportunity to add more to their ever-growing rock collection.
This was indeed a perfect 75 degree, sunny day to visit the outdoors in mid-November.
